Public KB: Instructions for connecting to your network drives on a computer running Windows XP.

On Campus

University owned computers: These instructions are not necessary on office computers running Windows XP. If you do not automatically see your network drives on your office computer, contact the IT Services Help Desk.

Accessing I or O-Drive
  1. Click Start > Computer.
  2. Double-click Shared (O:) to access the O-Drive or double-click username (I:) to access the I-Drive.
    1. The I or O-Drive will be accessed.

Personal Computers

Follow the off campus instructions below.

Off Campus
  1. Double-click My Network Places on your desktop.
  2. Double-click Add Network Place.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Select Choose another network location and click Next.
  5. In the Internet or network address box, paste the following URL:
  6. Click Next.
  7. Enter your username and password when prompted and click OK.
  8. Enter a friendly name for the folder and click Next.
  9. Click Finish.
    1. Use the new folder(s) in Network Places each time you want to access your IPFW storage space(s).
